IT Support Apprentice
We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our IT team in Manchester. The department is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s IT systems and infrastructure across all sites.
The ideal candidate will assist with a range of IT support activities, including user assistance, system maintenance, and contributing to ongoing projects and improvements. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills through hands-on experience and formal training.
Reporting to the IT Manager
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support to staff.
• Assist with IT asset management and issue tracking.
• Coordinate IT issues and projects with staff and external providers.
• Support small IT projects, upgrades, and user onboarding.
• Develop technical skills through training and hands-on experience.
Requirements:
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
• Basic knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 onwards, Active Directory, networking, and Office 365/Exchange Online.
• Familiarity with 1st and 2nd line IT support.
• Exposure to SQL / SQL Server, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports, Sage 200, Sage CRM, and Autoscribe Informatics LIMS and BIMS systems.
