About the Role:
This position relates to textiles and the textile supply chain and will be based in Kolkata
The candidate is required to market testing and certification services in the East India Region for the textile industry.
He or she shall provide technical support to new and existing clients involving handling of day-to-day work, client visits, generating new business independently, on site visits, customer follow ups and good customer relationship management.
The work will be co-ordinated with the UK office and the India Country Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Must work in ethical manner (as per company policy & principles)
• Generate new business / client independently
• Maintain relationships with the existing clients & provide excellent services
• Travel throughout the region to perform client/factory visits as per guideline provided by company
• Answer phone calls, emails and letters to provide excellent customer service in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide support to new and existing clients
• Establish and maintain confidential files
• Possess a good knowledge of computer systems, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
• Perform additional duties as required.
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Graduate, in Textile Engineering or Chemistry, with excellent written & conversational English.
• Knowledge of computer including MS Office (Word & Excel), e-mail, TEAMS and internet.
• Worked as a third party testing laboratory technician/leader/manager or has experience in sales & marketing within the textile supply chain or of operation/management of a textile production facility
• Experience of ISO 9001:2015 or of auditing is preferred.
• Knowledge of the supply chain of the textile industry (fibre to garment)
• Good organisational skills and be able to prioritise their own work
• Good oral and written communication skills
Training & Development:
• Training will be provided at Shirley Technologies, UK, the candidate must be able to obtain a visa for travel to the UK.
• Work Experience of more than 5 years
• Salary: As per market level
• Reporting to the Country Manager based in Ahmedabad.
