Message of Condolence

It is with our deepest regret that we bring the tragic news of our former director Brian Sagar, who has recently passed away aged 89.

Brian joined Shirley as a result of the merger of the British Cotton Industry Research Association with the British Rayon Research Association in 1961, which was a return home after having worked there earlier in his career. He rose to be head of the Technical Services department and later Technical Director.

Our heartfelt condolences are with his family at this most difficult of times. Please join us in passing deepest sympathies to Brian’s family and friends.
